Starting Pay: $22/hour (based on experience and performance) 

 Once Upon A Pediatrics is a growing pediatric support organization providing in-home behavioral services to children and families. We focus on building life skills, improving behavior, and creating meaningful impact in the communities we serve. 

This is a part-time contractor role (1099) for individuals interested in working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and behavioral support services. As a Behavioral Support Specialist, you will work one-on-one with children in their homes and communities to support behavior, build communication and life skills, and promote independence.

Services may include both structured ABA-based interventions and mentoring-style behavioral support, depending on the needs of each client. You will follow individualized support plans and use techniques taught and guided by a licensed clinical supervisor (LBA/BCBA).

This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in behavioral services, with the option to grow into roles such as Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or pursue BCBA certification.

• Provide direct, one-on-one behavioral support to children in their homes and communities 
•  Implement individualized support plans using ABA-based strategies and structured behavioral support techniques 
• Support children in building communication, social, and daily living skills 
•  Help reduce challenging behaviors using consistent structure, reinforcement, and support strategies 
• Track session activities and maintain basic documentation 
• Communicate regularly with the supervising clinician regarding client progress and concerns 
• Travel locally to clients’ homes for scheduled sessions
•  Maintain professionalism and reliability while working independently in clients’ homes
   

• No experience or certification required — we train the right candidates!
   Must be patient, consistent, and comfortable working with children in a structured environment
   
• Must have reliable transportation and a flexible part-time schedule
   
• Must be 18 or older with a high school diploma or GED
   
• Must be able to pass a background check (required for Medicaid compliance)
•  This role is ideal for dependable, self-motivated individuals who can work independently in a home setting.
   

• This is a 1099 contractor position (you are responsible for your own taxes)
   
• You will receive supervision and training by a licensed professional

We are currently expanding and seeking a dedicated Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) to join our team and help lead client care with clinical excellence.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide clinical oversight and supervision to clients receiving ABA therapy
   
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
   
• Oversee the implementation of behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition programs
   
• Support and train behavior technicians
   
• Maintain documentation in accordance with Medicaid and insurance standards
   
• Collaborate with families and caregivers to ensure optimal treatment outcomes
   
• Attend virtual meetings and contribute to team growth and development
   

Qualifications:

• Must be a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in the state of Virginia

• Passion for working with children and families with autism or related developmental needs
   
• Strong communication, time management, and remote documentation skills
   
• Experience with Medicaid or insurance-funded ABA services is a plus (not required)
